We recently did a full deep clean for a family living on Hanover Street who were getting ready to host a large family dinner and wanted the apartment in genuinely clean shape, not just tidy.
What the client needed
The apartment was lived-in and well-kept on the surface, but the client was honest about it — there were areas that hadn’t gotten a real clean in months. The kitchen sees heavy use. The bathroom grout needed work. Baseboards and the tops of door frames had accumulated dust. They wanted the whole apartment cleaned properly before family came through, not just a surface pass.
They booked a one-time deep cleaning service and asked us to prioritize the kitchen and bathrooms while making sure the rest of the apartment got full attention too.
What we cleaned
The kitchen was a full job — stovetop, oven exterior, microwave inside and out, all cabinet fronts, the backsplash, countertops, sink, faucet, and floor. The bathroom got scrubbed throughout: toilet, tub, shower tiles and grout, sink, mirror, vanity, and floor. We dusted all surfaces in the living room and bedrooms, wiped down baseboards and door frames, cleaned the interior windowsills, vacuumed rugs, and mopped the hardwood floors. In a North End apartment, those floors are usually original and beautiful — they just need the right care.
How it went
The team spent just over three hours in the apartment. The client checked in partway through and immediately noticed the difference in the kitchen — the stovetop and backsplash especially. By the end the apartment felt noticeably cleaner, not just visually but in terms of air quality too. That’s something clients mention more than you’d expect after a proper deep clean.
The family dinner went off without a hitch. We got a message the next day saying the apartment had drawn compliments from guests — which is exactly the kind of result a house cleaning should deliver when it’s done right.
